Brickeye approached ORIL to unify the user interface across its suite of applications, including its flagship LumiCon platform and various other IoT monitoring tools. This initiative involved redesigning the existing MVP version of the mobile application and creating web designs from scratch to enhance usability while developing a design system adaptable to all current and future Brickeye apps.

Our Project Roadmap

01Product Design.

We began the project with an in-depth analysis of Brickeye’s current solutions to align design efforts with user needs and business goals. This foundational stage aimed to plan a scalable, intuitive interface suitable tailored for construction environments.

02UI/UX Implementation.

Our team developed a bespoke design system from scratch, establishing user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. This stage was critical for enhancing user experience and ensuring the interfaces were adaptable under various on-site conditions, such as gloved operation, dirt exposure, and lighting conditions.

UX Process

We drove the Brickeye project with a rigorous UX design process that prioritized business-product objectives. This involved creating detailed user flows and extensive wireframing and prototyping. Our goal was to deliver a product that not only meets core business objectives but is also optimized for end-user convenience.

Apps and Tools Developed

Construction Risk App

Through our redesign of the Construction Risk App, we delivered a more intuitive user interface for both mobile and web platforms. Our approach enhanced safety, supported real-time decision-making, and improved the management of site-specific risks.

LumiCon Platform Mapping

For the LumiCon platform, we mapped all user flows and developed a design system to accommodate future redesign needs. This foundational work is essential for enhancing data visualization and user interaction, vital for effectively monitoring and managing concrete curing processes in the future.
