About Brickeye

Brickeye is a construction technology company leveraging IoT, sensors, and cloud analytics to help contractors, developers, and insurers prevent water damage, monitor concrete quality (via LumiCon), and manage environmental risks.

Its BuildersRiskIQ platform enables teams to plan and implement structured data-driven water mitigation strategies upfront, improving stakeholder alignment, accelerating approvals, and reducing risk across residential, industrial, energy, and large infrastructure projects.

Business Challenge

  • Limited client visibility into project scope in later lifecycle stages
  • Poor synchronization between sales teams and construction clients
  • Frequent scope changes requiring real-time updates in a shared space
  • Need for centralized collaboration for decisions and action tracking
  • Introduction of new user types, increasing platform complexity
  • Challenges in structuring data and defining user roles and access

Our Approach

01
02

01Product Discovery

We kicked off the project with a strategic discovery phase to align with Brickeye’s business goals and identify core challenges. Through in-depth stakeholder interviews, AI-assisted clustering of requirements, and detailed elicitation sessions, we defined the product scope and priorities. This work established a strong foundation that accelerated the design and development process.

02UX/UI Design (AI + Prototyping)

Building on the discovery insights, we drove the design phase by translating requirements into user-centered solutions. Using AI-generated UI concepts, we rapidly iterated on design ideas, testing and refining them in close collaboration with stakeholders. This approach allowed us to quickly validate workflows, adapt to changing project needs. As a result, we delivered a scalable, cohesive interface that improved usability and positioned Brickeye to better support its users, while ongoing design support ensured long-term consistency and product evolution.

UX/UI Process

We led the UX/UI process by aligning business goals with user needs, using stakeholder interviews and AI-assisted analysis to simplify workflows and prioritize high-impact features. This reduced complexity and clarified the product direction early.

We translated these insights into clear user flows and rapidly validated solutions through AI-generated concepts and a clickable prototype—accelerating feedback and minimizing rework.

The result was a clean, intuitive, and scalable interface that improved usability and supported long-term product evolution through ongoing design support.

Key Features

01
Multi-Site Portfolio Management.
A centralized "command center" to oversee risk across an entire construction portfolio.
02
Zonal Water Mitigation Planning.
Granular risk mapping that assigns protection protocols to high-risk areas, supported by connected IoT devices for real-time control. Includes Flow Meter (water pressure monitoring), Pump AC Outlet (pump control), Shut-Off Valve (water shutoff), and Water Detector Probe (leak detection).
03
Visual Site Documentation.
Bridges the gap between digital data and the physical construction site.
04
Automated Compliance & Timeline Tracking.
Aligns insurance and protection services with the actual construction schedule.

Results Delivered

  • Faster, More Confident Decision-Making. Clear visibility and structured data eliminated guesswork.
  • Stronger Stakeholder Alignment. Sales teams, insurers, and construction clients operate from a single source of truth.
  • Reduced Delays & Risk Exposure. Better planning upfront leads to fewer costly issues later.
  • Increased Product Scalability. A system designed to support growing users, projects, and complexity.

These improvements build on Brickeye’s IoT-driven platform, delivering real-time insights that enhance efficiency, safety, and risk management across 3,000+ projects in 20+ countries and 300+ enterprise clients. In some cases, this has contributed to up to 50% reductions in insurance deductibles, along with fewer incidents and delays.

This impact is reinforced by strong market traction, including 150% YoY revenue growth, a $10M Series B (2026), and ongoing global expansion beyond North America into Europe and the Middle East. Recognized by Deloitte Technology Fast 50 (Canada) and multiple construction innovation awards, Brickeye is scaling as a trusted leader in construction risk management.

BuildersRiskIQ plays a key role by enabling data-driven water mitigation planning, helping teams align earlier, streamline approvals, and reduce risk exposure.
